ChristianDK's original post offers an insightful first look at the updated F.P. Journe Octa Divine, highlighting key aesthetic and dimensional changes. This article synthesizes community reactions to the new dial design, case sizes, and crown, providing a comprehensive collector's perspective on the evolution of this significant reference. ChristianDK's detailed observations set the stage for a deeper exploration of F.P. Journe's design philosophy.
The Divine has been given a makeover. The case is now 40 and 42 mm and the watch with the option of platinum or red gold. The Divine has also been given the new bigger crown.
An other significant change is the new and redone dial.
The dial is made of gold and has apertures around the date, moon disk and seconds disk in white or red gold depending on the case.

Previously Boutique versions had a black dial and red gold case. The "Black Label" would have a platinum case and a black dial. It will be interesting to hear what has happened to the black dials? I will report back as soon as i know more.

This is the previous version for reference. The blue hands of the previous version gives it stronger contrast, which I prefer. The numerals look like they are applied instead of printed; this I like. The omission of numerals for the power reserve indicator is interesting. The omission of the red shapes for the seconds indication is something I like in the previous version. The black dial versions look very nice.
Sorry for being a bit cliche, but it is an amazingly divine timepiece!
