Funny story to this one which I will explain another time as I am currently having lunch with a friend who flew in from Italy. Golf Club looks great but the weather is not. Cloudy and a bit cold but we cannot complain too much 😉

Big fan of FPJ but have to admit his chiming watches are not great compared to examples from Patek, JLC, etc...

I will say this CS Minute Repeater is super thin and comfortable on the wrist and since it is in SS, it is also ultralight as well 😁

About the F.P. Journe Chronomètre Souverain Ref. chronometre

The F.P. Journe Chronomètre Souverain represents the foundational timepiece within the brand's Souveraine collection. This reference demonstrates the manufacture's approach to precision timekeeping through manual winding mechanics, positioned as a core offering in F.P. Journe's lineup.

The 40mm case is executed in 18k rose gold with a fixed bezel configuration. A sapphire crystal protects the silver dial, while the manual-winding caliber 1304 movement provides an 80-hour power reserve. The timepiece features 30-meter water resistance and is paired with a leather strap. Production commenced in 2000.

This reference appeals to collectors seeking F.P. Journe's mechanical execution in a fundamental three-hand configuration. WoW that is a Holy Grail piece....

Great pics and scenary, beautiful watch. "Big fan of FPJ but have to admit his chiming watches are not great compared to examples from Patek, JLC, etc..." Why do you say so? Very curious since I haven't seen one yet. I have heard the Patek MRs, they are great and the JLC titanium which was very loud. S

Thanks it is a super cool piece. Regarding the Minute Repeater, the sounds is low and not as clear or melodic as examples from Patek, JLC, Chopard, etc...Honestly, you really have to struggle to hear it unless the room is totally silent...

Perhaps the Grande & Petite Sonnerie is better as this CS Tourbillon's strong points are definitely NOT the sound or amplitude. If I remember correctly, at one point it was the thinnest Repeater at the time so comfort, profile, and weight were most likely stronger points than sound quality and volume. I could send you a video on WhatsApp if you send me your a PM or you çan most likely see and hear it on YouTube 👍
