First, because the CS is one of my favorite watches. Probably the one watch that has spent most hours on my wrist total. Secondly, the rose gold works really well with the black dial. I always think of this one when I see a black Chronometre Contempourain. My thought is, this is likely where Rexhep got inspiration for his particular combination. It just works so beautifully. I’m thinking it is probably less versatile than a Pt with a white dial like I have. I would love to hear your view on this

I almost bought that watch a few years ago, but then I settled on a 38mm PT CS with the WG Dial being the one to chase (still chasing). On this watch, where it fails IMO is that the contrast between black dial and RG case is not a appealing as it might be on other models. Like the Optimum for example, that black on gold is really eye catching. Here, it’s different. Maybe not as appealing, BUT maybe that’s a high bar. I still like this particular CS.

one "no"; and a suggestion by one for an improvement. I did think this would be more polarizing. I'm not completely sold on it-I think Jay may have hit on one aspect. Another is that the RG hands, though striking, are invisible in any kind of shade (honestly, I use my watches to tell time), and it also seems a little too rich-so much black and red gold. But it is an attention-getter when you look down at your wrist. Debating whether I prefer the silver dial with what looks to be a softer rose ca

If You are not complely sold on it, look around at some of the others first. If You still have your Optimum and want to keep it, it is very well worth considering to get a different combination for diversity (and politically correct..) If you like the black dial, the ‘Black Label’ Series has the black dial with Platinum case and hands. “A Collected Man” have had one for sale for some time, that just sold. You can see it at their website. If it is the gold that attracts you, then you should reall
