The Chronomètre Souverain is a masterpiece.
The numerals are not applied. I'm not sure "embossed" is the right term either. The numerals are apart of the dial itself, and allowed to extrude as the part of the dial that is not numerals is reduced. Somewhere I read the term "spark erosion at the molecular level" is involved in some way - above my pay grade but the result is quietly spectacular.
