ChristianDK's post beautifully captures the essence of a relaxed Sunday, pairing his F.P. Journe Chronomètre à Résonance with fine footwear. This thread, originally a lighthearted homage to a fellow collector, evolved into a discussion on the art of pairing luxury timepieces with sartorial choices. It underscores how personal style extends beyond the wrist, creating a cohesive and elegant presentation.

Since this has temporarily become the shoe forum / FP Journe forum (until Bill opens a proper one) I thought I better give shoes a try also.
Here are my Resonance with a pair of Edward Green as a homage to J.N.s post with his new Resonance and EG boots. I realize they need a fresh polish but I’m feeling too lazy this weekend and besides my wife has told me to vacuum the whole house, so that is postponed to an other day. Anyway guys, have a great Sunday and remember to have a bit of fun in life.

About the F.P. Journe Chronomètre à Résonance Ref. resonance

The Chronomètre à Résonance represents F.P. Journe's entry in the Souveraine collection, distinguished by its resonance complication. This reference utilizes the principle of resonance between two independent escapements to enhance chronometric precision.

The 40mm case is crafted in 18k rose gold with a fixed bezel and sapphire crystal. The silver dial houses the manual-winding caliber 1499 movement, offering a 42-hour power reserve. Water resistance is rated to 30 meters, and the watch is completed with a leather strap.

This reference appeals to collectors focused on haute horlogerie complications and independent watchmaking. The resonance mechanism positions this piece as a technical showcase within F.P. Journe's manual-winding offerings. Production began in 2000, establishing this as part of the brand's contemporary catalog for collectors seeking advanced chronometric functions.

On a more serious note, you just gave me a great inspiration with the color combo of grey dial and this tone of brown strap. Very interesting🤓 Have a great lazy working Sunday, Alex

Also: Is the yellow arrow pointing on pair of Edward Green boots (Galway on 202 last, made to order)? What leather (also wax oak leather, like the Snowdon)? I do not recognize the pair of the red arrow. Who made them? What leather?

work has been so busy and serious lately and I suddenly remembered how important it is to also have fun and be a bit lazy. I’m really pleased to hear that you took inspiration from my picture. A great Sunday to you as well 😊
