ChristianDK's original post celebrates the 20th anniversary of the F.P. Journe Tokyo Boutique, a landmark establishment that defied traditional distribution models. This retrospective highlights François-Paul Journe's pioneering vision in opening his own branded boutique in 2003, a move that significantly shaped the brand's global expansion. The article delves into the unique design and philosophy behind this iconic location, which set the precedent for F.P. Journe's worldwide presence.
At a
time when watch brands favoured retailers for their distribution, François-Paul
Journe chose not to follow convention. He was the first to open a subsidiary
and a boutique under his own name in Aoyama, in central Tokyo.

What does that mean?? I’m worried… about the future of one of my favorite brands.
It's not like the brand is closing its doors...😉 watchesbysjx.com
I think this was announced a while ago. And is consistent with the announcement ending the Boutique editions too.
😮💨 😅
More seriously, I too am somewhat disappointed. I had intended to buy a Nacre Dial CS. Journe, as he has stated numerous times in the last while, is focusing on more complicated pieces. This together with the end of special dials and Boutique editions will mean the end of Journe ownership or aspirational ownership for many.
