In a captivating post, cazalea takes readers on a unique tour of Solvang, California, highlighting an unusual car rental concept featuring 'Broncows' and electric Mini Moke clones. This exploration delves into the quirky automotive landscape of the tourist town, offering a glimpse into local marketing ingenuity and unexpected vehicle sightings. cazalea's observations provide a fascinating look at how different vehicles cater to distinct customer profiles in a niche market.

In Solvang we came across a car lot that was renting to tourists (or wanted to be renting). Its stock? Electric Mini Moke (clones) and Ford Broncows.

What's a Broncow? This is:

A marketing idea from Vreeland Ford (nearby) and available for $79 an hour or $149 a day, for the tourist desperate to get around and with little or no self-respect

The electric mokes are similar in concept and I suspect would appeal to a different profile customer.

Finally two cars I spotted, a BMW camouflaged test car

and a Bentley being used as a minivan or pickup!

Motorcycle Museum I didn't recognize any MV Augustas but they have 3 !

One of several clock shops - nothing but stuff I wouldn't buy (except maybe the Math clock)

The Broncow is hilarious. Not something I would rent in those state but kind of trying to pander to certain stereotypes πŸ˜‰

And it doesn’t look electric, either (plus that would be the Neue Klasse), which looks different πŸ€·πŸ»β€β™‚οΈ
