In the approx $1k USD range… Many of you know of my love affair with recent incoming Stowa Klassik 40 mm. This is a striking piece with exceptional value. Clean, sterile dial, heat blued hands, no date, thin, top quality vintage style strap, perfect 40 mm size, German hand wound. Need we say more? I took it upon my self to conduct a little experiment. Two Fliegers that looked cool on paper , I did not bond with in practice. The Laco Stuggart Pro 40 case was a bit generic and I wasn’t crazy about the screw down crown with the hand wound movement. The Archimede Pilot 39H was a touch small at 39 mm, and the white numerals always had a tint of green to them, even in day light, due to the lume used. Then there was the Damasko DK30 (more of a modern take on Flieger-Style) but again, I prefer a dial with no cross hair and brand logo, which is not an option. Don’t get me wrong, these are all great brands / models with their own individual merits, however I am simply sharing my opinion / experience. I  have one more Flieger incoming in the weeks ahead. This, a German company that makes their own case, dials and hands . I believe will be the true test to the Stowa. For now, I’ll enjoy this one . Quite possibly, in this price range, the Flieger to Rule Them All!

I like what I see. The demonstration that you don't have to be a milked cow to still get a decent and nice watch.

Thanks Mon Ami

I’m absolutely thrilled with this offering “from the Black Forest.” And to build upon what you stated, one of the most important aspects , you don’t need to break the bank to get a really cool watch 👍🏻

Yes, it is reassuring to see some brands playing the game in all fairness.

Great shot and great lume

The bwm logo being inspired by a propeller makes the composition very appropriate! I have been quite curious about Tourby, they seem to offer a lot of options at a decent price and quality.

That’s kind of what I was going for 😉

Have never owned one, but reading about Tourby, I’m compelled to learn more

I understand

I too really enjoy my Stowa Flieger Klassik 40mm...great design and comfortable to wear. The case design to me is more appealing than many other offerings on the market. As you said...incredible value!
