This obsessive hobby of ours can be very rewarding.

Like when you find period correct crown or buckle wink

or you find piece with one out of three dial colors that you missed (the rarest one of three of course)

or for example you manage to find watch from the year of your birth that is last piece of your vintage divers puzzle of watches all made in year of your birth….

how about buying limited edition watch with your lucky number which is 55th watch with that very same lucky number in your collection…

or just your AD calls and says I have watch here if you want it although there is line to Mars and back for that piece….

also one of rewarding situations is when you find piece you fancy for 2 digit numbers of official EU currency….

such thing happened to me during summer harvest....I know watch is beaten but having good watchmaker is big plus in vintage business wink

Eterna brand I fancy…very important brand in history od Swiss watchmaking…Eterna minus ern gives…yes ETA…

Eterna was one of important cofounders of ETA….importance of ETA for Swiss watch industry is par excellence.

Eterna was founded in 1856 in Gretchen Switzerland by Dr. Josef Girard and Urs Schild (he was schoolmaster another cool thing for me)

they produced many innovations during their history most importantly friction-reducing ball-bearing mounted rotor system in 1948

that can be seen stylized as logo on their watches. Kon-Tiki name that not only makes smile fans of

Thor Heyerdahl but vintage watch fans as well is deeply connected with Eterna.

Today Eterna is owned by Hong Kong based Citychamp Watch & Jewellery Group Limited.

My catch is Eterna - Matic 1000 Concept 80 …cool name smile

Inside is calibre 1488 K with a 21.600 BpH…start of production 1967.

And here’s two very cool ads for watch one American…

and one European correctly French speaking friends… I think they will love it smile

I have bag of chips now I need some ale!

Bonus - I give you watch in 2 more shades so you can tell me witch shade of 3 you prefer smile

Cheers

Super cool catch, my friend!

You didn't kid when you said I beat you to the punch about Eterna! Yes, indeed a brand that lives in the shadows even if not deserving so... Congrats, my friend! Best Blomman PS. Today you beat me... But I will post anyway...!

I prefer the 3rd photo. The colors is intoxicating, especially for a vintage piece like this. [nt]

Congratulations (again!) my friend 😉. Well played with this lovely Eterna

Regarding your three shots, I have a preference for the first one. Best wishes Alkiro
