Friends,

This week times "underappreciated" or "under the radar" was mentioned several times...

One brand I think is underappreciated is Eterna or Eterna-matic!

We used to have eternal-fan here in the forum educating us, but I haven't seen him around in a while...

Let's hope this post may lure him out!

The original Centenaire!

Love the eggshell dial and the very nice "Centenaire" writing!

Which also is found on the back.

And if anyone was wondering, yes, the watch is complete!

Any other Eterna fans here in the forum?!

The dial is beautiful.

When is this watch from, and what size?

Yours truly is an admirer of Eterna . . .

. . . and not just vintage, either - their current issues . . . . . . are also appealing. I've never been an owner, but that could change under the right circumstances. Art

Indeed, a lot of interesting watches also in modern time! [nt]

I believe my colleague, Mike T, has (or had) . . .

. . . a similar Madison in his collection. Hard to believe that it represents a tiny niche in today's market. At one time, Switzerland produced affordable manual-winding shaped dress watches with matching shaped movements by the truckload. No longer. Eterna's Madison line is practically the sole survivor. Congrats, Alex! Best, Art
