Nicolas (amanico) shares a captivating discovery: a vintage Doxa Antimagnetique, highlighting the brand's lesser-known time-only watches. His post, rich with detailed observations on the dial, hands, and movement, invites the community to appreciate the unexpected beauty found beyond Doxa's famous dive watches. This piece serves as a reminder that horological treasures often lie in overlooked corners of collecting.

I know that Doxa made some very nice time only watches, but I am far from knowing them all.

Yesterday, I fell on this one, while " watch shopping " with some friends, errrrr, sharks, errrr, friends, I mean. wink

Here you have a 37 mm case, a superb slate grey dial, some stunning hands ( I never saw some like these, except maybe on some pocket watches! ), and a very cool manual winding movement.

Probably from the Forties.

Snap back case.

How it ended? One of my two friends jumped on it. Before I had the time to think about it. wink

And he's right.

Best,

Nicolas

Very cool piece :)

Just discovered last time that my father has a curious looking Doxa table clock - had no time for pictures, though... Intriguing brand and not only for its divers. As for you losing out on yours yesterday - I guess you snooze you lose

I am on some cool targets, lastly. The problem is that you cannot get them all. Compromises, choices, decisions... ;) [nt]
