Nicolas, known to the community as amanico, shares his enduring passion for world time watches, specifically highlighting the Chopard L.U.C Time Traveler One Steel. This article delves into why this particular reference, alongside the JLC Geophysic Universal Time, captures his horological imagination, despite his personal preference for manual winding or micro-rotor movements. His insights provide a valuable starting point for collectors exploring the intricate world of global timekeeping complications.

You know my love for world time watches. I only have one for the moment, but I would gladly welcome one or two more pieces, such as this LUC Time Travelr One in steel, which is probably my favorite version, and the JLC Geophysic Universal Time, for its original movement.

Ok, I would have preferred a manual winding movement or a micro rotor, but I would happily take it as it is.

Best,

Nicolas

The Time Traveler One is a really cool watch 👌🏻👍🏻

And I find steel a good material. They have made some city specific versions with nicer color schemes, though. Not that easy to find now, probably, as most were in small batches 🤷🏻‍♂️

Yes, very small batches...

For example: Chopard L.U.C Time Traveler One Time of the Desert, Steel, 20 pieces, in 2017.

There was also a Paris Edition, a Moscow Edition, a Singapore Edition…
