KMII shares his experience finding new straps for his Chopard L.U.C Chrono One, highlighting the excellent service from the Vienna Boutique. His decision to opt for a matte grey crocodile strap demonstrates how a simple change can alter a watch's aesthetic, making it suitable for various occasions.

I have been looking for some alternative straps for my LUC Chrono One for a while now and have decided to go with Chopard itself for a start. While the choice is not as wide as with dedicated strap makers, the support from the Vienna Boutique in finding something appropriate has always been exemplary and I wanted to honour that. In the end I decided on a matte grey croc, that would on the one hand blend in with my lighter grey summer suits, and on the other hand be a good contrast with the navy ones. It may not be fully universal (not quite sure how it would go with charcoal) but then again, we are generally lucky in having more than one watch wink

I would also like to mention their express service - like with a proper strap maker - you can accellerate the process and get the strap in a period of under two weeks, which is very handy. So here's the result.

As seen above, the watch keeps the property of dressing down well enough. In fact I would say it has a slightly more casual vibe than with the navy croc before. At the same time it will work well with a suit just as it has before - yesterday's combination may not be an optimal way to demonstrate that but I will have ample opportunity to make more pictures in the months to come. smile

And here a quick static shot to show what it looks like with my wrist removed. The colour of the strap is a tad lighter than I imagined but I am looking forward to seeing if it will turn darker with time. smile

I have still not taken the pterodactyl plunge, as expected by Padj but will get there eventually (not sure if with this watch, though) wink

Thanks for viewing!

Looks well matched from the photos

The grey goes well with the dial and enhances the subdials, IMO. Looking good!
