Sheesh. I am so slow.

While others post like magpies chattering in the trees, I post like a slug in the underbrush. But today I realized I've finally hit 1999.

I went back through my archives, 25 posts at a time, NEXT, NEXT, NEXT (for about 3 cycles, then worked out the trick code at the top of the page and inserted 1975 to see my oldest posts).

I can't claim to be a data archeologist, and I am confused by the transition/gap of PuristS and PuristsPro. But it appears my first coherent post some seven years ago was in response to some nice guy I didn't know, named Tim Jackson, who was talking about a rare and nifty watch that I desired, the MIH.

So as a tribute to the great folks here (including Tim who I now know well), and the 2000th time I've posted, I would like to queue up a few shots of the MIH:

the day it arrived in 2006 "OMG! What! no shipping box? Just a padded envelope?

Why/How it was stuck to the cover of the booklet - no Rolex-like holographic overlay

First half-decent photo - but why a piece of Chamois?

Showing the inane rear 30-minute counter to Tiger, my cat who was then a kitten (yes, I know the crown is unscrewed!)

Taken by Art "Dr. No" at the Sunset on Perpetual 2008 (note the date)

In the middle of my old Harmon Kardon tube receiver

Ochs Junior, Gerber P10 & MIH Titanium Sandwich

From the "Gimme my watch wrapped in yesterday's newspaper and cut some of that damn price!" thread

Artsy shot from "MIH in the Garden"  New Year's Day post

"Let theMIH eat cake!"

The audacity of this series earned me an extended warranty from MIH ....

Shot in the dark with baby Hummer

Standard kitchen-counter backdrop photo for my SOTC posts

Well, I've whiled away a couple hours in memories and regrets (Why haven't I categorized my photos!!!) and I'd better quit.

So here's the watch today, and my 2000th chance to say thanks to the PuristSPro site, its operators, and participants.

Feeling a bit older now ...

I love this bump ...

It's SPA/Francorchamps and, this is a guess, the driver is Graham Hill? Thank you for bringing memories from the 60's. Cheers, Nilo
