Very appropriate for 2012 which is the year of the Tank. The LC is a real classic; looks like you have a 70s or 80s era Tank LC. - SJX

to other watches in vogue today, of course. And it seemed small when I first put it on. However, it grows on you and its classical good looks overcome the size issue. In fact, after wearing it a few hours, it no longer seems overly small but the proportions are "just right". I, actually, prefer watches that many would see as too small--eg. 35-38 mm. I know there is a contingent similarly inclined on this forum as there is also one which prefers the 42+ mm "mega" watches. My preference is always
For what it is, a classic, formal watch, the Tank LC works perfectly. With the right attire it is at home, as this picture show (though the watch is Tank Normale rather than LC the size is similar). It's on the wrist of MD of Cartier UK at Cartier Polo 2011, shown below with HRH Prince Philip. Perhaps you want to think about a vintage looking strap like the one shown below, it will complement the styling of the Tank LC quite well. - SJX
