As always, Cartier manages to create stunning high jewellery watches. The Le Cirque Animalier de Cartier collection is comprised of jewellery watches featuring a panda, tiger and elephant. All are quartz but that's besides the point.

The panda features 8 carats of diamonds, black sapphires and emeralds for the panda's eyes, along with a black and white enamel dial, as well as black enamel details on the panda.

The elephant offers 7.2 carats of diamonds and an emerald for the elephant's eye. The dial is solid gold guilloche set with more diamonds.

Finally, the tiger uses white and yellow diamonds as well as emeralds, as well as black enamel for the tiger's stripes.

The next two watches are from the Cartier Libre collection. First is the Nceud watch, inspired by the knot of the Japanese obi. 3.4 carats of diamonds.

Below is the Froissee watch, inspired by a fan. 3.4 carats of diamonds.

Finally, although this has been mentioned before, the Ballon Bleu tourbillon. While it is not part of the high-end Collection Privee Cartier Paris range, it is nonetheless a beautiful watch. The movement is manufactured and assembled by Roger Dubuis in Geneva, hence the Geneva Seal. However I will say that this tourbillon is more attractive than most of the tourbillons made by Roger Dubuis.

The Panda is seriously beautiful....but....

Is putting in a mechanical movement so difficult? Just out of curiosity Definitely admire this piece of art. Not too much on our men's wrist though, perhaps someone is enthusiastic enough to keep it just for appreciation in art craft and hand work Regards
