About eight months ago, Patrick’s phenomenal Octo thread sent me down the Finissimo rabbit hole. His deep dive felt like a roadmap — blending horological knowledge, design philosophy, and pure passion. It set a benchmark for what a watch community thread can be.

Almost a week ago, I shared that a very special Octo was incoming. It finally arrived last Monday — after a few tense days in customs 😅 — and I had the bracelet sized on Tuesday at my excellent AD.

After several days on the wrist, here are my impressions.

Originally, I was hunting the Lee Ufan — spectacular… and essentially unattainable.

Then one evening, fate (and YouTube) stepped in: Wei Koh and Fabrizio Buonamassa Stigliani introducing this 20-piece anniversary Finissimo.
• Mirror-polished Grade 5 titanium
• Burgundy fumé dial
• A micro-edition celebrating 20 years of Revolution

Decision made instantly. No hesitation.

This watch is… different.

Day #1: wow. 🙏🙏🙏

Day #2: this is not just another watch nor another Finissimo.

Day #3: this thing has a personality all its own.

Day #4: I enjoy all the details.

• The burgundy fumé dial shifts from warm wine to near-black — hypnotic.
• The polished titanium feels fluid and soft — the opposite of the sharp architectural Octo language; and yes, the tone is very special.
• Ultra-thin comfort: the watch essentially melts into the wrist. You don’t feel it — until the light catches it, and then it becomes sculpture.
Bold and understated at once — a rare combination.

Most Octos are about geometry, angles, tension. This one is about emotion.

What surprised me was how alive the watch feels — how it responds to light and movement.
It keeps revealing itself.

Practical Note: Since I’ve seen a few comments elsewhere: this piece has been running beautifully — accurate, stable and without interruptions.
The movement feels well-regulated, and the platinum micro-rotor likely contributes to the smooth winding and consistent performance.
In short: no issues whatsoever so far.

The Octo Finissimo has many identities: stealth, minimalism, technical virtuosity.
This one? For me this is the poetic OF — quietly confident, expressive and refined.

Nearly a week on the wrist and no doubts:
It was absolutely worth the acquisition.

HAGWE, my dear watch friends — enjoy your time, on and off the wrist. ☺️🙏

Oooh La La!

The Revolution Octo! I always liked their Roman numerals! More Octos should have Roman numerals right? And the pierced Romans is just too cool! It's the subtle version of skeletonization! Huge congrats!

Dear Patrick, thank you very much. 🙏

To my knowledge, the first OF Minute Repeater had a similar dial. Revolution picked this skeletonization of the dial up for the first anniversary edition. This design element has now been taken up again for the 20th anniversary watch.

You are right on all three fronts!

The pierced dial first debuted on the minute repeater. The pierced dial was seen again on a Revolution time-only watch again, but with Roman numerals. And it's been seen again on another Revolution Red dial!

My dear THOMAS, I’m somewhat lost for words right now, but in short, I am ecstatic over your acquisition. In particular, I can see the joy it brings to you, my dear friend.

Not only does it exemplify beauty and craftsmanship, but that dial is mesmerizing. You wear this one well my friend it was made for you. Enjoy it to the fullest, with respect and sincerity, Tony.
