MTR's vibrant wristshots of the Bulgari × Revolution Octo Finissimo XX Anniversario offer a splash of color against a dreary winter backdrop. This article delves into the unique appeal and technical performance of this special edition, as shared by MTR and the WatchProSite community. Explore why this particular Octo Finissimo reference stands out to collectors.

The Bulgari Octo collection represents a defining moment in the Roman jeweler's horological evolution, launched in 2012 as Gerald Genta's final design contribution before his passing. This octagonal-cased sports watch fundamentally shifted Bulgari's identity from jewelry-focused timepieces toward serious haute horlogerie, establishing the brand's credibility among collectors who had previously dismissed their watchmaking credentials.
The Octo Finissimo's technical achievement centers on its remarkable case construction, where the octagonal geometry creates structural integrity while achieving unprecedented thinness. The faceted case architecture reflects light dynamically across its polished surfaces, while the integrated bracelet flows seamlessly from lugs to links. This burgundy dial variant showcases Bulgari's color palette confidence, moving beyond conservative black or white to embrace richer tones that complement the case's architectural lines.
Market positioning places the Octo Finissimo as Bulgari's flagship collection, competing directly with Audemars Piguet Royal Oak and Patek Philippe Nautilus in the luxury sports watch segment. The model's record-breaking ultra-thin movements have generated significant collector interest, particularly among enthusiasts seeking alternatives to established Swiss giants. Contemporary auction results show steady appreciation, though the collection remains more accessible than comparable pieces from traditional Swiss manufactures.
In general, I am attracted to all the OF line because of their wide bracelet watches. But this elegant burgundy dial in combination with the high polished aesthetic make this version stand out.
It’s polished titanium. All the best Thomas

I happened to discover this watch last year on YouTube, in a video where Wei Koh from Revolution and Fabrizio Buonamassa Stigliani presented it as part of a mini-series for Revolution’s 20th anniversary. I simply had to order it immediately and was obviously one of the first to do so.
