BASELWORLD 2010

BVLGARI Collection Daniel Roth Endurer Chronosprint

The Haute Horlogerie movements developed in the Manufacture du Sentier have long since been housed within a distinctive ellipse-shaped case fashioned from precious metals.
The 2010 vintage of the Bulgari, Daniel Roth Collection features an evolved version carved
in steel, Endurer Chronosprint.

This watch immediately exudes a strong personality dominated by the contours of its
generously sized case in Staybrite© steel ,a treatment ensuring extreme corrosion resist-
ance and also endowed with superlative polishing qualities.  Endurer Chronosprint Calibre
1306 offers a formal reinterpretation of the elliptical case characteristic of the line to which it belongs, while firmly respecting its stylistic origin.  Featuring a sturdier, more rugged design, the case expresses its subtleties through softened angles and its profile reveals finely fashioned curves such as its concave bezel with six screws.

This rugged exterior protects an exclusive and unusual self-winding mechanism: a movement with a simplified chronograph function which serves to measure long times, whereas traditional chronographs are generally used to measure short times on two to three counters.  The Chronosprint function indicates the hours and minutes by two hands mounted on a single arbor.  One press on an ergonomically notched push-button at 7.30
positions the hands at 12 o’clock and starts the chronograph.
Calibre DR1306 beats to the rhythm of 28,800 vibrations per hour, and drives the hour and minute hands on a slightly off-centred axis, while the large date window appears at 12 o’clock.  Its patented mechanism is based on a specific construction due to the off-centred position of the hour and minute functions serving to ensure an optimal position of the Chronosprint function.

Really 56mm long?? A wristshot please

The XXXL Madness goes on.... For a desk clock why not , but seems to be too large for many of us. If a normal size is planned, let us know. It should be a real killer IMHO. Like it very much To see and wear on wrist Thanks for sharing patrickh

The Daniel Roth Endurer dimensions

Hi Patrickh, Thanks for pointing that out. The 56mm measurement was from the press release. Maybe it was measured from lug to lug instead of the bezel? But I agree with you 56mm seems very long. I'll verify with my sources at Bulgari to verify. As a side note, I'm happy to see that Bulgari has decided to continue with this new model as part of the Bulgari Collection Daniel Roth. It's a departure from the other Daniel Roth watches (IMO because it's a sports watch with a strong identity) but based

Thanks ED. I find

this case very masculine and impressive and I love it. The fact that it is in a Bulgari range now will allow to nicely upgrade the model. I personally prefer the new 2010 dial. About the lack of the second for the chrono, I do not know. Maybe the watch could be understood as less accurate. Of course NOT. Want to put one on my wrist to have a real advice on this model. Please take many pictures of this model. Thanks again, Patrickh

variation suggestion

I think it could be of interest to differenciate main indications (H and mn) to chrono functions. - Pink gold hands for hour, minutes and indexes - White gold hands for chrono hands and round circle indicators Sober but more appealing (more life) I do not imagine more complicated functions in this case as it will be inapropriate. Others Bulgari models for that: - Bulgari -Gerald Genta for example or Bulgari -Daniel Roth Athys models. Just my thoughts, cheers, Patrickh
