Pingtsai introduces the Bulgari December Contest, inviting the community to envision future watch releases from the brand. This initiative not only celebrates Bulgari's successful 2013, marked by releases like the Octo in stainless steel and intricate dial work, but also fosters creative engagement by asking collectors to propose innovative concepts for 2014.

As we near the end of 2013, it can be time of reflection on the events that have passed and new developments that occurred in everyone’s lives. It can also be a good time to think about all the new progressions that we hope to see in the coming year.

This past year, we saw Bulgari release some exciting new watches like the Octo in stainless steel, a huge success in terms of comfort and design for a bracelet watch. They also got a chance to show off their impeccable skills in miniature painting and dial-work in watches like Il Giardino and Commedia dell’Arte. And in Catene, Bulgari infused their jewelry talents into an attractive and feminine timepiece.

With a spectacular year of new watch developments for Bulgari, one has to wonder what is in store for 2014.

For this contest:

Name one watch that you would like to see from Bulgari in 2014. It can be a new version of an existing watch with different materials/colors/size. Or it can be a watch that they have never released before, perhaps a type of movement they don’t have in their collection or style they have yet to cover. It can even be something that is theoretical and a complete product of your imagination.

Be creative, be unconventional, and think outside of the box! Please submit your answers here by responding to this post. Feel free to brainstorm and submit multiple entries. I will choose the winner next Friday, December 13th. GOOD LUCK!!

Wishing all PuristS a happy and healthy holiday season!

Octo

I love the case of the Octo so much, I would absolutely love to see a new Octo with a Mother of Pearl dial on a black aligator strap. I know it will never happen, but can't stop dreaming.... Dean

Octo Offshore

I would suggest to develop an "offshore" version of the Octo. I think this is the most compelling watch and i'd appreciate an all-round and a bit more rugged version... Think of Audemars Piguet RO -> RO offshore conversion. So let's say a 30 bar WR with 3mm sapphire glass and screwdown crown, rubber or textile strap - an ultra hi-end daily beater/diver. P.S. I've got some industrial design skills, drop me a line ( just in case Mr. Bvlgari is reading this :) Ciao!
