Amanico's post shines a light on a truly rare and enigmatic vintage Breguet diving watch from the early 1960s, a timepiece that continues to captivate collectors with its distinctive character. His detailed photographs, showcasing the screw-in case back and the AS 1581 movement, provide a rare glimpse into a watch many consider ripe for a modern re-edition. This article explores the community's fascination with this obscure reference and its potential for a contemporary revival.

I would love to buy a re-edition! A great alternative.
I still like my idea of a JLC Reverso Tribute, blue dial, 822 movement with special anglage finishing for WPS members. But this idea sounds nice too! I know, let's keep the simple tool watch finishing and just keep the price a little lower! Let's even keep this strap! Something really true to the military heritage. But a genuine Breguet product. And even a "military cardboard box" that's somewhat plainer to keep costs low and the product authentic. The only elaborate will be the warranty paperwo
Their USA PR lady is very resistant to my arm twisting.
That dial and those hands….WOW.
... which has been haunting me for a long time. If my memory is right I think that Christie´s offered one for sale a few years ago. Rarest among rare!! Every time I view a picture of this watch the desire is fueled again. It also reminds me of some pictures of famed F1 driver Dan Gurney wearing it. (He also wore a ref 6234 Rolex Chrono!) If Vlad has a good contact at Breguet to convince them... ! Abrazos amigo mio!! Abel
Now if only the reedition would be nearly as slender 🤞🏻
