The Tradition " Time Only " ion white gold, 37 mm, is one of my very favorite Breguet, but there is another one which is mind blowing, the Tradition Tourbillon à Fusée, ref 7047. And here, a notable exception, even more in rose gold.

The platinum version of the 7047 could have been my favorite, if only it had a black dial dedicated to time.

The Platinum:

I saw the rose gold 7047 some 10 years ago at the Paris Boutique, and it really impressed me.

10 years after, I saw it gain at the Breguet Manufacture.

The first thing you notice is the case size. Not really big with its 41 mm, but thick with its 15, 95 mm, mainly because of the huge sapphire glass.

The second thing you notice is the chain. Yes, here we have a Tourbillon Fusée and Chain, which gives to the movement a constant force, hence a linear amplitude all along the 50 hours of the power reserve .

Aesthetically, you are facing a true Breguet, with the ribs on the side case, the pare chutes, and this unmistakable design.

The generously sized Tourbillon, at one o' clock:

A discrete detail, the power reserve indicator, above the barrel, at ten o' clock.

Can you see how huge is the sapphire?

Breguet on the front, but also on the backside.

A feast for the eyes and for the mind.

Here you go Nico :) This is my No 1 favorite Tourbillon. I am not sure which variation, I do also like the warmth of the yellow gold and black dial. I hope this will happen for me one day

I love this domed sapphire!

Normally I am not a huge fan of coloured gold cases. But here I think that for this very poetic and baroque watch the RG fits very well. Best Thomas

7047 is a lovely watch and is a stunning showcase of what modern day breguet is capable of

All of the variants remain grails but I'm partial to the 7047/BA (yellow gold); is a scarce model, i couldn't believe my eyes when i saw it online! It takes the best of the long gone yellow gold 7027 and translates it well into a larger case.
