There are Arabic numerals and there are Breguet numerals. The latter represent the most elegant way of displaying time.

For example, skeletonized watches can be quite wonderful, but I can't help but feel that wearing one would feel like having a cadaver on the wrist. I also like world time watches - a lot - but would like to see more that find a way to render the entire globe, and not just one continent or hemisphere. how they “lean” into time made me realize that that similarity is probably why I also love Eastern Arabic numerals on watch dials as well. There’s also a sense of flowing artistry that I see in both types of numerals. Thanks for this insightful post.
