Faced with two choices that I've been contemplating for some time - a daily wear watch that will take the humidity year round, has some level of water resistance that is needed for me, and to suit my casual type lifestyle but also can work in the boardrooms every once in a while.

My choices between a PP5167 and this Marine 5817. Much pondering and 5 days of trying them on - the AD was very patient with me. Decision made for the Breguet Marine for a few reasons, but the case build, the dial design and just about everything about it resonated more with me than the PP. Admittedly, the PP was very close, but an existing service delay for my other watch made me slightly more hesitant, and in this choice, that small issue was the tipping point.

No real world experiences yet, so sharing some initial pictures. I plan to wear this most days this year, so a real on the wrist experience will come at a later time. Right now, I'm absolute certain I made the right choice for me.

After just half a day, I understand your point about this being surprising

Certainly different and little points that wasn\'t realized during time at the AD comes up. Very good points too...like the comfort of the band, and how the case and crown guards come together so nicely.
