I am a huge fan of JCB as an entrepreneur. His previous work was all really really cool. Wanted to love this brand from launch, but I feel like all the design including this new one is uninspired, and just feels super generic.

They look well made, but there's nothing else really going on.

Well the dial is plain. I like that very much. Looks elegant.

The back, however shows the technical demand. Interesting.

I quite like these, too. You may want

to check out the limited edition dials on the Biver website. (I think I haven't seen any actual photographs of the LE ones yet.) Cheers Marc

So far haven't they been mostly expensive collectors items?

Meaning mostly locked away in a safe somewhere, never to be seen in the wild.

That movement is really something else!

The number of inward angles is just unbelievable. I don't think I've ever seen so many in a single watch, there are probably as many inward angles in this single piece that in all the Patek catalog, if not more. The only things I don't like are the "Biver" and "Automatique" inscriptions in the caseback ring.

Try GP Laureato Skeleton...

... it's over 50.... Used in ceramic it's under 30k. That's the best ia/$ ratio I guess But this Biver is nice, fair enough. Style wise they looked probably a bit too long into the Grönefeld window, but that's up to personal taste. Execution seems to be top notch. Cheers, Alex
