. . . was unheard of. A twin four-barrel version of the same engine was rated at 270 hp. The novel Rochester fuel injection set-up was fussy and there were few mechanics able to work on it so many original fuelies were converted to twin four-barrels. Chevy dropped fuel injection for sedans in '58, but kept it for Corvettes until '65, if memory serves correctly.
But if you get it I hope you go to the gym a lot and have incredible left leg power as you will need it to depress the clutch, and good luck parking it or seeing anything behind you ever. It may be a dream car for many but a nightmare to own and drive. Marc
