foversta provides an atmospheric photo essay from Baselworld 2019, reflecting on the fair's transitional year. Having attended for a decade, foversta offers a unique perspective on the changes, including reduced attendance and significant booth relocations, setting the stage for a deeper analysis of the event's strategic future.

We all know that 2019 is a transitional year. The attendance decreased, several brands were missing...

but I enjoyed a lot the fair.

It was my 10th Basel Fair in a row. So I'm in good position to see the trends, the changes and so on.

I will write an article about my feeling and the strategic moves the organization shall consider.

For those who know Baselworld, you will be surprised by some of these pics. Hall 2.0 is closed and the brands moved to Hall 1.1. The Ateliers left their previous location.

Just one detail: when you entered the hall 1.0, you were able to see the Breiling booth on the background. Something impossible previously due to the presence of the Swatch Group booths.

Wednesday, press day... almost empty or maybe I was the first one!

Do you see the Bretiling booth on the background?

The Ateliers  pictures were taken on Tuesday (the last day) and it was obviously the quietest day!

The famous whole always looks aesthetically impressive and, this year, Citizen's booth decoration is quite inspired to my eyes (at least in images). TAG also looks to have had an original booth design with their tagline effectively incorporated . Cheers, Filip

I have been going to BW for 6years now and this one was by far the most relaxed and less hectic one imho.

Thanks for your Report. I'm really surprised by lot of empty space...I was at BW at least 10 times but i've never seen this. This year I missed the fair but looking back I'm not worry about it. stere
