MichaelC's forum post, humorously titled 'Paging Jocke... Jocke to Colorado please...', brings a common but often overlooked automotive issue to the forefront: wildlife damage. While WatchProSite typically focuses on horology, this thread offers a relatable glimpse into the unexpected challenges of car ownership, prompting a lively discussion among collectors about repairs, insurance, and the surprising culprits behind such incidents.

And bring your tool bag ;-)

My daughter's Kia had a very unwelcomed guest.

Looks like something(s) was living there for a while, as opposed to just passing through. Very curious to know what would hang out around car motor/battery. Could be a rat I suppose.๐Ÿค”

And it was fine. Then we started it up a few days ago and bam, almost every dash warning light came on. One small loom of 2 wires was chewed threw completely, and he also got into another loom. Thankfully, my insurance will cover the repair (less the deductible). I'm fairly certain the entire front bumper needs to come off just to access the area and assess the damage.

BUT rabbits donโ€™t get into car engines and chew wires, do they??!! If so, then I donโ€™t want to cross paths with that rabbit! Iโ€™d rather you say it was a raccoon or something else more expected.

They chew the hoses. It happened to me twice. Iโ€™m told they find the engine coolant sweet. When my wife, who loves all animals, asked if it died I replied that I hope so.
