Jmaguire17's acquisition of the Audemars Piguet Royal Oak Flying Tourbillon 26730ST in steel presents a classic collector's dilemma: the desire to preserve a pristine timepiece versus the joy of wearing it. His choice of the smoked blue grand tapisserie dial over the titanium version highlights the aesthetic allure that often sways even the most pragmatic collectors. This article delves into the nuances of this reference, exploring the community's perspective on owning and enjoying such a significant complication.

Quite honored to be allocated this "complication."  I did consider the titanium version with its unique weight and rareness, but the smoked blue grand tapisserie had me weak in my knees!  Now the only problem is wearing it out as it'll inevitably get scratches to such a beauty.  C'est la vie!

You got a great piece. Don't fret the scratches. To wear a watch like that - nothing better!

That’s the issue with brushed finished pieces that they are scratch magnets
