MichaelC showcases a discontinued Audemars Piguet Royal Oak Chronograph in white gold, drawing attention to its unique design elements and 39mm case size. This post sparks a discussion among collectors about the ideal dimensions and aesthetic details of the Royal Oak Chronograph, particularly in comparison to newer, larger references.

The Audemars Piguet Royal Oak Chronograph reference 26320 represents the 41mm chronograph variant within the Royal Oak collection. This reference was produced from 2012 to 2019, featuring a blue dial configuration in stainless steel construction.
The 26320 houses the automatic caliber 2385 movement, providing a 40-hour power reserve. The 41mm stainless steel case incorporates a fixed octagonal bezel and sapphire crystal, with 50-meter water resistance. The blue dial is paired with a steel bracelet, maintaining material consistency throughout the piece.
This reference appeals to collectors seeking a contemporary Royal Oak chronograph in stainless steel with the distinctive blue dial option. The 41mm case size positions it as a modern interpretation within the chronograph series, offering automatic winding convenience with the caliber 2385 movement during its seven-year production period.
This size is the original one, fits also the biggest wrist and has the right proportions. Gerald Genta did design Royal Oak as a 39 mm watch - why to stretch it? Best, Kari
Just a fun AP. JerryW
Off Shore, and a special one, the Orchard Road. Because I love the name, and the dial! Best, Nicolas
I start to feel that I NEED a RO chorine. The only issue that bother me is the question: "Should I wait till AP comes with a manufactured movement?" I heard from AP that they are proceeding well with the design. Perhaps in the end of the year and a new ROC next SIHH? Best, Kari
I have exactly the same model! Reference 26022BC.
We saw it again on the NY and Paris La Boutique models. I wonder if a new Royal Oak Chronograph might give us this option again?
