The Luminor PAM279 is a notable iteration within the Audemars Piguet Luminor collection, distinguished by its specific material and dial combination. This reference offers a particular aesthetic that sets it apart from other models in the series, appealing to collectors who appreciate its unique presentation. It represents a specific period and design philosophy within the brand's output, focusing on a robust yet refined presence on the wrist. The model's characteristics contribute to its identity within the broader catalog of Audemars Piguet timepieces.
This particular Luminor reference features a 44mm case crafted from titanium, paired with a matching titanium bracelet. The watch is powered by a mechanical movement, offering a substantial power reserve. A sapphire crystal protects the brown dial, ensuring durability and legibility. The construction emphasizes both resilience and a considered approach to material selection, consistent with the brand's manufacturing standards for its sports watches.
The PAM279 appeals to collectors seeking a titanium-cased Luminor with a distinctive dial color. Its place in the Audemars Piguet lineup highlights the brand's exploration of different materials and finishes for its established designs. The combination of its case material and dial color makes it a specific point of interest for those cataloging the variations within the Luminor series, offering a particular option for enthusiasts of the brand.
Hello Imran, I like pic #2 of the AP in the cool blue bowl. Have you looked into the new 2012 pieces? Maybe add a AP carbon forge variant to the list? -MW
The one AP that still really sings to me is the Diver, the previous one. I like the Forged Carbon look on the new one, but will wait to see it in the flesh, am unsure about the dial. I do love all of the skeletonised ROs though, beautifully designed watches
And thank you so much for your introduction. It is much appreciated, here. Moreover, your pictures are beuatiful, and your passion seems to " devour " you, all things and feelings we share on PPRO. Lookinf forward to reading more from you, All the best, Imran. Nicolas This message has been edited by amanico on 2012-03-24 23:09:10 This message has been edited by amanico on 2012-03-24 23:10:25
A high percentage of your posts are responsible for driving my watch passion. A lot of the watches on my grail list you have covered in detail, so take full credit/blame hahahaha

Splendid introduction and great pictures of your watches. Don't worry you are not the only one hère that has an addiction. I would add that I find it a perfectly healthy addiction for my part. Nice grail list, for some reason these types of lists always seem to get longer. Best regards, George
