Audemars Piguet became the title sponsor of the prestigious Queen Elizabeth II Cup in 1999, an event that has constantly attracted top-tier jockeys, horse owners and trainers from around the world. As the annual highlight of the international equestrian circle, the Audemars Piguet Queen Elizabeth II Cup proudly celebrates its 15th anniversary in 2013. Sharing the same values and visions, Audemars Piguet and the Hong Kong Jockey Club will once again present a highly-anticipated horse racing event.

The Audemars Piguet Millenary QEII Cup 2013 Limited Edition features the collection's distinctive oval-shaped case. The 18-carat white gold case and buckle are embellished with 339 brilliant-cut diamonds, while the dial is set with 139 brilliant-cut diamonds, all of which are of IF (Internally Flawless) clarity. The silvered guilloché gold dial with printed Arabic numerals is accentuated by a diamond-paved off-centered disc with Roman numerals. Accompanied by blackened steel hands and a hand-stitched black crocodile leather strap, the Audemars Piguet Millenary QEII Cup 2013 Limited Edition is the foremost representation of opulence, exclusivity and elegance.

In honour of the 15 years of sponsorship, Audemars Piguet has planned a series of activities to unfold in April for this important milestone: on April 11, the Selections Announcement of the Audemars Piguet Queen Elizabeth II Cup will be held to announce the 14 runners. It will be followed by the Barrier Draw that will take place on April 25, where the horse representatives will draw their stall number. Then on April 26, Audemars Piguet will host a gala party in partnership with the Hong Kong Jockey Club, which promises to be a memorable gala event with horse owners, jockeys, celebrities and distinguished guests. I think the dial is gorgeous.

I would enjoy seeing this model up close. Having handled numerous jeweled case APs at SIHH, I can attest that in person they are nothing short of mesmerizing. Thanks Anthony!
