The past few years from Audemars Piguet have been much of what we have expected.  After all, AP has been more clear and concise with the company message, and the SIHH releases and other strategies support the various mantras.  The authorized dealer network has been consolidated and refined.  The focus on the core collections is quite evident.  And a commitment to producing current releases is visible at AP Boutiques and points of sale.

But let's not overlook how the ladies collection has been emphasized and improved the past 3 years.  We were told about this renewed commitment in 2013, and when you look at some of these recent releases, there is no denying how awesome the collection is.

37mm diamond encrusted Royal Oak (2013).  How often do we say "pictures don't do it justice" or "you have to see it in person"?  In the case of this model, I almost think photos are a dis-justice.  It is too easy to think a diamond encrusted case is gaudy or over the top.  Not at all with this Royal Oak.  When you hold it, your breath is taken away.

Automatic winding AP Manufacture movement Caliber 3120

And surely the clasp is given the proper treatment

33mm Jules Audemars Small Seconds.  This version is also available without the diamond bezel and hour markers.

Manufacture Caliber 3090

And on bracelet

39mm Selfwinding Jules Audemars (2013).  One of my favorite ladies models.  The dial guilloches on these watches are superb.

Again Caliber 3120

Ladies Royal Oak Offshore quartz (2014).  Thanks to Oliver and Magnus for these photos.

Exquisite bezel work

2 tone Royal Oak quartz (2015)

Very feminine

Millenary hand-wound (2015).  Ken has given these new Millenaries tremendous coverage.  Definitely the epitome of a new Audemars Piguet ladies watch - beautiful, unique, exquisitely crafted, and housing the full expertise of the Manufacture.

Utterly gorgeous.

Truly some stunning offerings from Audemars Piguet.  The development and importance of the collection are front and center.  Mission accomplished.

If I could cite a single drawback, it is that TracieC is frequently asking me about these new models, and that will hamper MichaelC's ability to add other APs.  But surely that is OK with AP, as they are doubling their target audience smile

Hmmm . . .

My wife and I celebrate our 30th anniversary this summer. Should I or shouldn't I? I really like the rose gold quartz Ladies' Offshore with a touch of bling. Very classy imo. On the other hand, the small seconds JA on gold bracelet is just gorgeous. Thanks for posting pics of these ladies watches, MichaelC. Watches for the fairer sex are too often overlooked on these forums. M4

30 years... you should for sure!

Having met the wonderful Mrs. M4, I think she would fancy one of these great offerings :-)

I have one huge issue with AP's Ladies Collection:

Are all the mechanical watches made for female sumo wrestlers? In north Europe the average size of a modern lady is somewhere just below 179 cm and below 60 kg. Many of the "Ladies watches" are bigger than the wrist of the lady in question. I desperately tried to find a mechanical AP for my wife. She's 167 cm and around 54 kg. Any AP we tried was together with the lugs bigger than her wrist. So like it, some don't. And I do not consider such over-sized watches elegant. Best, Kari

The Jules Audemars Small seconds is only 33mm.

And is stunning. I really like the manual movement in it as well. I can see how the larger Royal Oaks and maybe the new Millenaries would challenging for a very small wrist. At least the Millenary design is oval across the wrist, and the strap attachment allows it bend quite easily.

Thank you Michael,

I checked the home page of AP and indeed, there was this watch also in WG. Greyish MOP dial with red gold hands and hour markers. A watch that would look good together with my PP 5550P. We will visit the Boutique during the weekend and have a look. I do not think in general that the problem is that there are very few watches for ladies "with small wrist". Much more that half of the ladies on earth must have much smaller wrist than my wife. The real problem is that there are very few mechanical w

Tracie's wrist is tiny too.

Even as ladies watches come with shorter straps, we are always ordering replacements. So we are both happy to see these mechanical movement ladies watches; maybe a next step for AP will be to have more offerings w/ mechanical motors in smaller cases. Really appreciate your feedback Kari, and AP should as well.
