Nicolas (amanico) presents the Audemars Piguet Code 11.59 Tourbillon Openworked Only Watch 2019, suggesting that a well-executed dial can make the Code 11.59 line highly appealing. The post sparks a debate among collectors about the design elements, particularly the hands and the overall potential of the collection.

But the hands are still rubbish !
There's potential if AP fixes the dial, hands and strap. On the subject of the strap, I was disappointed to see gator straps, which I view as old-fashioned, on the supposed new, daring and bold CODE watch. Just my $.02. I'm looking forward to handling some CODE pieces in the flesh. M4
The 2-tone case indeed works extremely well on this design.
Still, these hands... Best, Nicolas
I will reiterate my position - I am a buyer for this collection once a more appealing dial and handset comes along (referring to the chronograph and time only models). I would go for the Supersonnerie now if I lived in that realm
"AP should offer a SS/RG version with a nice dial. The 2-tone option really makes the Royal Oak-inspired middle case "pop," and very AP-identifiable. My hope is that the 2020 models will have a superb new set of dials. -Dean
