ArmisT's recent acquisition of the Audemars Piguet Royal Oak Chronograph (ROC) offers a timely look at a beloved reference. His initial impressions, particularly regarding the dial's grey interplay and the bracelet's perceived thickness, provide a valuable starting point for collectors considering this model. This article synthesizes community reactions to ArmisT's new ROC, exploring its wearability and aesthetic nuances.

Forgive the delay as I had wanted to share this arrival with the forum last week, if not for work and snow shoveling.  Nevertheless, here’s the ROC.  Love this dial because of the grey interplay.  But I would have liked a thicker bracelet.
I bet the 41mm ROC is equally impressive despite its size, since the subdials fill it in nicely (as compared to the seemingly empty dial of the 41mm RO on my wrist in particular).

I find grey to be an elegant color in general, but this dial is exceptionally executed I feel.

Looking at a picture taken at more of a distance, you can see that the longitudinal dimensions don’t extend as much to my wrist ends, thereby highlighting the smaller case size compared to my 15300 which is 39mm. But it’s still a very fine size that wears nicely IMHO.

I love neutral shades. Great size too, movement dial and case are in harmony. Wear it in good health.

The subdials and minute track contrast, but overall the watch stays rather monotone. I love it!
