MichaelC's decision to revisit a classic strap combination on his Audemars Piguet Royal Oak Offshore Survivor, particularly after a full movement overhaul, offers a timely reminder of how personal touches can rejuvenate even the most iconic timepieces. His "Black Widow" pairing, a nod to a look he first debuted nearly 15 years prior, demonstrates the enduring appeal of thoughtful customization and the lasting impact of a well-maintained watch. This thread highlights the aesthetic choices that resonate deeply within the collector community.

After a full movement overhaul, I decided to go back to a combo I debuted almost 15 years ago.  It makes for a great change of pace on the Royal Oak Offshore Survivor.

Mine is a short size. I never needed that with most Offshore straps, but it helps on the hornback versions for sure.

Not mounted in the photo, but it conveys the idea.

The weapon-themed Survivor has a strong appeal to me, so it is my top choice. Naturally, I also love the EoD, Montoya, RBII, carbon Alinghi, Trulli.. I guess I love many of them!
