I added a wonderful watch today.

I wasn’t expecting to, but the team at Laufer in Minden (which is nowhere NEAR my beloved Berlin 🫠) were really friendly and helpful … and knowledgeable!

Gonna cut and paste from the website, because I can’t explain it any better… but it’s marvelous!

“A micro-mechanical revolution, the Mirrored Force Resonance First Edition in steel with a black gold colored dial is the result of years of intensive research by Claude Greisler and the Armin Strom manufacture in incorporating the physical phenomenon of resonance in watchmaking for the ultimate chronometric stability. It works by means of the patented Resonance Clutch Spring, which directly connects the two hairsprings for the fastest and most regular resonant state ever witnessed in a wristwatch.”

I know FPJ claims he did it first (in a wristwatch) and that they shouldn’t be linked by a clutch spring… but look how cool it is!!

Not in love with the strap, will consider something else… any suggestions? This one is nice for summer though.

I also took a picture with its little sister, which is equally cool, but I prefer bigger watches.

Congratulations!

Armin Strom really nailed it with this model in my opinion. The design is a big step up from the previous iterations. BTW, re: resonance... Their technical partner, CSEM, has "officially certified Armin Strom's Resonance Clutch Spring as being a true system in resonance," and (again, according to Armin Strom) their "laboratory testing reveals gains in precision of 15-20% for two COSC certified chronometer level regulated movements placed in resonance." I didn't realize it comes with a loupe eith
