Jack Johnson introduces the Amida Digitrend revival, a piece he finds surprisingly well-executed and conceptually aligned with high-horology independent brands like MB&F, yet at a significantly more accessible price point. His initial impressions highlight the solid construction and thoughtful integration of a Soprod Newton base movement with a proprietary jump hour module, making a strong case for its value proposition in the contemporary watch market.

Just came in and I am positively surpized! A very well made revival of their 1976 model. Very solid execution and no corners cut. Conceptually, this is close to MB&F HM8, but costs accessible money. Soprod Newton base movement and a proprietary jump hour module. Well done!

Huge thanks for the review, was looking at this....

...while laughing at someone asking $4000 for a basic LED version. May have to get the Amida

Thank you, my friend in watches :)

I am so impressed, yesterday I went ahead and ordered a new version in black DLC. I think I know the brand you are referring to I actually have the GP Casquette 2.0 as well - but somehow it does not get any wrist time.

i love the idea of the C2, retro cool for sure.

It's fun seeing old school 1970 / 1980 reto coming back.
