Amanico's two-year retrospective on his Alpine A110 offers a compelling look into the ownership experience of a modern classic. His detailed account, complete with stunning photography, highlights the joy, dedication, and personal modifications involved in making a car truly one's own. This article delves into amanico's journey, exploring why the A110 has become a cherished possession alongside his Volvo P1800.

It will be two years, this week-end, that I got my Alpine A110.

My first photo:

Two years that I have an immense pleasure each time I drive it.

Two years of intense work on it, trying it to make it even better.

Two years of road trips, and a few tracks.

I still have some work on it to make it exactly as I want, which will be less tough than the first stages I came through.

Maybe some work on the interior?

I have the feeling this Alpine will stay with me forever, which would be a first for me, along with the P1800.

They are very few to make cars like these, nowadays!

Happy Birthday, and to many many more years.

Nicolas

About the Alpine Ref. A110

The A110 reference represents a specific offering within the Alpine product line, known for its distinct design characteristics and manufacturing period. This model is recognized by collectors for its particular aesthetic, which sets it apart from other references in the brand's history. Its production run concluded in the late 1970s, marking it as a piece from a defined era of the manufacturer.

Details regarding the case material, dimensions, and the specific movement caliber are integral to understanding the A110. The construction of the case and the type of crystal used contribute to its overall presentation and durability. The movement, whether automatic or manual, and its power reserve are key technical aspects that define its functionality and appeal to enthusiasts.

For collectors, the A110 holds significance as a reference that is no longer in current production, with the last modern examples having been phased out of the catalog. The scarcity of these pieces, particularly those from the final production years, contributes to their appeal in the secondary market. Its place in the brand's lineage offers insight into the evolution of Alpine's design philosophy.

Alfa 4C is around 9,000 units (coupe and spider worldwide), but probably at least 10% gone by damage.

So let's guess that the A 110 will be made in a bit less than 20, 000 cars... From the beginning of this year till now, there were 2400 A 110 sold...

Actually i bought his big brother almost 5 years ago, hard to imagine. Maybe just a remark about the helmet …. If it is not obligatory on the track don’t wear it ! Bim About the interior, maybe you can buy 2 ultra-lightweight seats that you can easily change for trackdays.
