Amanico, a respected voice in the automotive community, offers a detailed first look at the updated Alpine A110. His initial impressions highlight key aesthetic and performance enhancements, alongside a critical evaluation of pricing and option packaging. This article synthesizes amanico's expert observations, providing a valuable resource for enthusiasts considering the new A110.

Let's start with the good surprises:

- The new Heritage Color, which is a free option and a magnificent " Orange Coral " .

- The revisited block of instruments ( Carplay, GPS, Cell phone, Audio ) which is way much better than the former one.

- The front carbon lip, which I find very nice.

- The new A 110 GT, blending comfort and performances.

- The fact that then engine has a bit more power on the GT and S versions, and more torque. ( +8 HP / + 20 Nm ). A difference you should feel, as the performances are, on the paper, much better ( 4, 2 secs from 0 to 100 Kilometers per hour, 22, 4 secs for 1000 meters, 275 Km/h max speed instead of 4, 4 secs / 22, 8 secs and 260 Km/h.

- The superb dinamica ( a kind of synthetic Alcantara ) option.

- The Semi Slick tires option ( Michelin Cup ) which is very reasonably priced ( 740 Euros for the set of 4 tires ).

- The orange belts!

The less good surprises are:

- The fact that you cannot just buy the front carbon lip, but the whole set ( lip plus rear spoiler )

- The rear spoiler: I am not very sure, to say the least, that it is so pleasant to see... To be checked in the real...

With or without the aerodynamic option?

- The cost of this option: 5700 Euros.

- The price of the full dinamica option ( 1600 Euros )

- The fact that if you go for almost all options, you are close to 90, 000 Euros, while the basic price of the S is 71500 Euros ( 69, 500 for the GT ).

I think I can do better with my A110, for much less. But this Orange Corail Heritage Paint, the new front carbon lip and the all dinamica options are very much my taste!

Best,

Nicolas

About the Alpine Ref. A110

The A110 reference represents a specific offering within the Alpine product line, known for its distinct design characteristics and manufacturing period. This model is recognized by collectors for its particular aesthetic, which sets it apart from other references in the brand's history. Its production run concluded in the late 1970s, marking it as a piece from a defined era of the manufacturer.

Details regarding the case material, dimensions, and the specific movement caliber are integral to understanding the A110. The construction of the case and the type of crystal used contribute to its overall presentation and durability. The movement, whether automatic or manual, and its power reserve are key technical aspects that define its functionality and appeal to enthusiasts.

For collectors, the A110 holds significance as a reference that is no longer in current production, with the last modern examples having been phased out of the catalog. The scarcity of these pieces, particularly those from the final production years, contributes to their appeal in the secondary market. Its place in the brand's lineage offers insight into the evolution of Alpine's design philosophy.

Looks better without in my opinion. The color reminds me a bit of orange tictac, albeit in a deeper shade, almost DDE orange Just waiting for the final edition with the 6 speed manual, l'espoir fait vivre!

As for the carbon? Well, the problem here is the style of that spoiler is not appropriate on the car. The car is so wonderfully shaped - sensual in shape - and that big, awkward wing ruins it. Not a design match at all. You know I am thirsting for the Cadillac Blackwing. They have 2 different carbon packages, and they total around $9000 USD. I ordered only Carbon Fiber 1 on my car, which is the front splitter and the real spoiler. It was $4100. The extra package adds carbon around the exhaust pi

It would be a pity to buy the package and use only the front one!

I'm afraid it will be a while. The brand is really backed up on production. My order has been in almost 10 weeks now, but nothing has happened. I would be thrilled to receive it next April after winter, but fear it could be a good bit longer. I did of course go with the 6 speed manual transmission, and can only imagine how fun the car is going to be to drive.
