Along with the Watches & Wonders Miami, ALS brought their almighty Triple Split and some pieces from the recent SIHH to the event. It’s a pity the 1815 Walter Lange Tribute pieces were not here as well as the purple Little Lange 1 boutique edition.

Prior to the event opening, we (plus my boss of course) were honored to be invited to a super nice private mansion for dinner with ALS CEO Mr Schmid, and NA Brand President, lovely Silvie.

By the way, the mansion is available for “sale” for “only” $29.75M 😄

For this post, I’ll show some of the pieces brought to the dinner event plus the next day opening ceremony at the boutique. They also brought a watchmaker to answer any questions guests may have.

I took so many photos so it’s better to separate them in few posts.

Apologize for the lighting and quality of my photos as the location is intimate and comfortable. So here we go... I’ll let the photos do the talking, hope you’ll enjoy.

At the boutique, I also have the pleasure to meet another member “CR” and admire his nice Lange. Thanks CR.

The star of the show on display. The boutique was redecorated just for this.

Feeling the heft, and playing with the functions. Pushing the pushers alone is a pleasure.

These movement, ahhh, heavenly and I can do this all at long

After a few glasses of Louis XIII, you don’t know what’s next 😂

You know I can’t drive after those glasses right 🤣
They are very generous to hire nice rides

The next day, W&W opening ceremony is 7pm so now it’s open to public, just like regular shopping district

This is my first visit to this boutique

Amazing night and report

I have only one suggestion for Lange: do provide your high end watches with a decent deployant, it's a poor and risky choice that those heavy and bulky watches come with a mere buckle. The price is high enough to have it as a standard, not as an option.

Thank you and I have to say they never fail to impress 👍🏻

Some may like buckles and some like deployants so it’s hard to make things standard. Having options are still best for consumers. Rgds Raymond

I agree, but when you release such a heavy weight, even the most skilled collectors may experience a fatal crash

Gravity is always ON and claims for its daily sacrifice 😱 Besides that, deployant is the best choice for these kind of watches; elegance and safety mixed together.

Great meeting you as well, Raymond!

W&W was a fun event. Phillips auction house had some nice vintage Rolex pieces for preview (if you were lucky enough to stumble upon their display case -- I found them purely by accident). There were a few independents there too, with the highlight being Kari Voutilainen's personal presence. I enjoyed the FHH's watchmaking workshop and also the virtual reality demonstrations (which involved plotting your geographic position on a ship several hundred years ago using a virtual marine chronomet

I am missing out so many good stuff, CR!

I did find the Indy’s and have a great chat with Kari himself, even tried on his masterpieces. It’s a great pleasure too and thanks for adding more details for the event. Rgds Raymond
