Hello fellow Purists!

After spending some time with this little fella i thought i should maybe share my initials thoughts on it and test my macro-photography skills lol. Hopefully a full i review will follow in the next few days.

When this watch was released in 2016 i fell immediately in love. The first thing that caught my attention is the perfect proportions of the dial, everything from the perfectly positioned hands to the carefully applied indices and the fairly small logo print - I'm not a fan of large logos on watches- and that mesmerizing warm silver dial. Obviously this being a Lange, the movement is not too shabby!

Now, with a MSRP of $14800 this IS an excellent value for money. The level of thought and the finishing that went into this "simple" timepiece is staggering. If there's one thing we, watch enthusiasts and collectors, appreciate about a timepiece its the amount of thought put into a timepiece. Case finishing, shape and length of the hands, lugs, font style and size... must all come together in a harmonious way as to not be out of place or even ruin the entire design and experience of owning a timepiece.

What Lange has managed to achieve here is a perfectly harmonious watch which although reduced to the essence, is nonetheless a masterpiece. Wearing it for 10 days now has been nothing but an insightful experience. i say insightful because i have learned that a watch doesn't have to have any complications or even a seconds hand to be interesting or fulfilling. This watch has more than satisfied my cravings. I can be in a room with a guy who owns a Datograph Perpetual Tourbillon and be fully confident hat my watch has had the same level of thought put into it and finished to the same exact level as that $300k watch. This says a lot about Lange and they respect for their craft and clients.

This timepiece is pure (nothing to add or remove) and timeless (you'll put it on your wrist in 2050 without any problem and with the same pleasure). To summarise, it's Lange's quintessence

Your shots and macros are really nice. I particularly love the one of the ratchet wheel with its tiny teeth. Congratulations for this new addition. A Lange is always an excellent choice 😉 Best wishes Alkiro

+100 you are absolutely right.

For me today it is the ultimate dress watch, which however can be worn in everyday life. I feel that Lange has a great respect for its customers since it offers a top notch assistance for everyone, no matters which model they have purchased and in each reference the movement is perfectly finished. This is something that unfortunately sometime do not happen with other eminent brands. Thank you for the stunning pictures! Best.
