His post highlights not only the meticulous craftsmanship but also the palpable passion and pride of the Lange team, providing a unique perspective on what makes the manufacture special.
Just back from a wonderful 3 day visit to Germany incorporating a visit to the A. Lange & Söhne factory. A truly amazing experience.
Robert Hoffmann (head of Zeitwerk production) was our guide and we were lucky enough to be shown inside a number of departments including the finishing of parts, engraving of balance cocks, Chronographs (including seeing a Triple Split movement during assembly) and Zeitwerk. Everything was then finished off with an introduction to the entire current collection and a lovely lunch at which we were joined by Anthony de Haas and Tino Bobe.
The biggest thing I will take from the trip isn’t the extreme attention to detail and workmanship (which is of course evident everywhere) but is actually the enthusiasm and pride of everyone we met - there was a real tangible excitement to share their love for the brand.
A truly memorable trip and my thanks to everyone at A. Lange & Söhne for organising.

I'm so happy you've enjoyed your trip to the sacred place It is a joy for me everytime I visit and so glad you and the madame also visited. PS: hope you liked the smell there )
Looks like the Odysseus is your next favorite after the Dato Lumen?
Zeitwerk is also calling loud.
But, it’s kind of big for my wrist.
Measurements do not tell the whole story as it is actually thinner by 0.8mm than my Dato and only 0.9mm wider.
My wrist is 16cm, tiny, but I think I am ok to wear it.
