Chromatic Fugue shares his experience trying on the A. Lange & Söhne Datograph, a watch he's long admired but hesitated to purchase due to its size on his slender 6-inch wrist. His post invites the community to weigh in on whether the watch's undeniable appeal outweighs its substantial wrist presence, sparking a discussion on personal fit and aesthetic preferences.

As expected, I am wowed by the Datograph: its heft, its wrist presence, its incomparable movement.  I have stopped short of buying it in the past because it's a big watch, and I have an unusually thin (6") wrist.  Here are photos.  Should I buy this if otherwise smitten?

Looks good on you! It’s such an icon. Your OP is also 39mm. 😉

It looks great on your wrist and is a real icon. If you can, you should.

The lugs do extend beyond the top of the wrist, but it's not at all uncomfortable, and it doesn't look disproportionate. Get it if you love it!!

I will say the bezels on the Datograph just seem to be magnets for like swirls and hairlines. This one looks the same as mine, it needs a cleaning!

Same view from the caseback but thinner. You may feel more comfortable with it on your wrist.
