In my opinion, the first Zeitwerk, with its reduction to a digital representation of time and the analogue reference to seconds and power reserve, has achieved the maximum in terms of aesthetics and function. There is nothing to add and nothing to omit.

I can't take my eyes off the movement. I can almost feel the power and innovative mechanics that drive time forward.

What do you think?

I don't mind the 3-second staging dip of the minute wheel. I consider it an interesting peculiarity of the first version of this movement. I will keep this version. I also like the white gold with the black dial that they do not offer any more - as far as I know.

Though strangely enough, both of those watches left me with little desire to own them! One felt too one dimensional and the

Will disagree with you here. The dial of the Zeitwerk is at least as impressive as the movement, and in my eyes even more so. The symmetry, the way they incorporated the batwing movement bridge into the dial, the digital display, etc, simply is masterful and has never been replicated. To me, one of the absolute greatest watches ever made by any manufacturer.
