I'm consolidating part of my collection to parlay funds towards a big watch purchase.  As such, I regrettably will be selling my very rare Patek 2526 "Pink Gold".

Patek 2526 "Pink Gold":

THE most elegant gentleman's dress watch that Patek has ever produced.

A true master-piece, with significant historical importance (first reference to house Patek's newly introduced automatic movement).

The 2526 Pink Gold wristwatch is extremely rare timepiece, with only "50" examples ever produced, from 1953-60, vs the more common yellow gold version (approx. 480 examples).

This particular example is the 1st series, with riveted hour markers, which was a much more costly manufacturing endeavor. As such, the first series is more highly desirable to the serious Patek collector, as later enamelled dial 2526 had glued on hour markers.

This is one watch where you can clearly see the "Golden Age of Patek Philippe" when the company was run by watchmakers and technicians, and not by it's accountants. The watch is completely over engineered, with virtually no expense spared.

The 2526 ’Pink Gold” comes with the following package:

1.Patek Philippe brown leather box. These Patek vintage boxes are becoming next to impossible to find, especially one in this condition, and very expensive.

2. Patek Philippe Archives certificate.

3. Patek Service papers (as per client request, case was not polished, stated on the Patek invoice). Dated December 14, 2005.

4. Pink gold buckle. Once again, vintage Patek "Pink Gold" buckles are next to impossible to find.

5. Copy of the original 1950's Patek Philippe Authorized Dealers Presentation, on how to present the "New" Patek 2526 ,headed:

"There Has Never Before Been a Watch Like This!"

6. Patek Philippe strap (as seen in pics) + NEW Patek Philippe strap (in plastic, never worn).

Condition:

Dial:

100% Patek original. Off-white (creamy), enamelled dial. Stunning, flawless, perfect. A visual master-piece.

The most beautiful dial that I have ever seen (20 years of collecting), further enhanced by the lovely dauphine hands.

Rated: 100%, as new.

Case:

100% Patek Philippe original. Stunning calatrava case. Heavy, over-sized (35.5mm), 2 piece case, with beautiful thick/fat lugs. The case is in mint condition, appears to have been very, very lightly polished , and still maintains original hallmark, which is very, very strong and deep. The case back has a very light historical inscription, which is beautifully done, and adds a lot of character to this magnificent piece. If you chose, you can have the inscription polished off (it's quite light). I personally would never dream of doing this,as I actually like the inscription (date of inscription, corresponds to date of sale of the watch).

Rated: 95++%

Movement:

A Master-piece. Stunning, mint, 30 jewel automatic movement, with guilloche solid gold rotor, breguet over-coil, swan neck regulator etc. etc. Visually and technically , the most beautiful, and important automatic movement ever produced (IMHO).

Full movement servicing: Patek Philippe Service Papers: Dated December 14, 2005.

Rated: 97%

I have seen pictures of the 2526, that is housed in the Patek museum in Geneva. I can confidently say that my 2526 Pink Gold is equal, in terms of condition. As you know, in the collecting world, it's all about condition.

i) To find a 2526 is rare.

ii) To find a 2526, with perfect dial, and Mint condition is even more rare.

iii) To find a 2526 in "Pink Gold (only 50 ever produced) with perfect dial , mint condition, with original box, pink gold buckle, archives, Patek Philippe Service Papers etc, etc, is an extremely rare event indeed.

I've written a number of articles on Patek Philippe, and vintage Rolex, and I’m very well known on several major watch forums, Thepurist, TZ, VRF, etc..

I would be happy to provide references upon request.

Price: $52,000 USD  (Bank Wire) + Shipping & Insurance.
