Please understand that we are a community that looks out for each other! It certainly isn't my goal to offend or upset you. I don't know you, and I'm not that type of person. I just want to verify that you accurately represent what you are selling. That is my sole purpose in asking you to post these photos of the Batman and of the Lange. That is also why others have asked you to do this very same thing.
Here is the detailed explanation about why I asked you to post a photo of this ("unworn") watch set to 9:07 and with the crown pulled out:
First,
you posted a rose gold Rolex Sky Dweller for sale in the Collectors Market. You showed only one photo of that watch: A wrist photo that was on a very hairy wrist (thick black and gray hairs). Look at that wrist photo and compare it to the wrist photo you just posted here. They are two different wrists. Member FabR and Moderator Dr No questioned the photo in that thread for other reasons, and Dr No asked you to verify your legitimacy by posting a photo of the watch with "time set to 1:14 and resting on a current issue of a local Spanish newspaper with the date in clear sight, please." You never posted that verification photo publicly.
Also in that thread, you explained why you are returning to this website after a 7-year absence: "Now Im back due to this had become a side business for me."
Then you started
a thread in the Lange Forum about your 25th Anniversary Lange 1. In that thread, you asked what people thought about the watch. Immediately thereafter,
you posted that watch for sale in the Collectors Market. This looked to me like self-promoting/"shilling" activity, since you said you are selling watches as a "side business." Also, in that same Collectors Market post, you used 4 photos that were not photos of the actual watch that you were selling. They were Lange press photos. However, you did not identify those photos as press photos, which is misleading. You did this even after member FabR specifically told you that "advertising a watch using somebody else's pictures without credit ... IS a reason of concern."
So when I saw that you were using Lange press photos in your sales post, I asked you to post a photo of the watch set to a specific time. That is not an unusual request at all. In fact, on Chrono24, all private sellers are required to post photos of their watches set to various specific times. And my request should not have surprised you because Moderator Dr No asked you to do that very same thing when you were selling the Sky Dweller. But instead of simply posting the verification photo of the Lange, (a) you sent me a PM saying "Hi, why would you like me to do that? If interested let me know. Otherwise no longer active" and (b) you then immediately marked the watch as "SOLD." [It now appears that all photos have been removed from that post.]
Again, in the end, no verification photo was ever posted publicly.
And here in this Batman thread, I asked you to post a photo of this watch set to a specific time (9:07) and with the crown pulled out. As Moderator Dr No said, any established member is allowed to ask for such verification. But again, you chose not to post that verification photo even after Dr No asked you to comply. And then Moderator Cpt Scarlet made this same request for a verification photo (but with time set to 12:00), and you chose not to comply with his request too. Instead of simply posting any of these requested verification photos, you posted a pic of a Batman (a) displaying a random time (neither 9:07 nor 12:00) and (b) on a wrist in a public location -- even though you are advertising this watch as being in "UNWORN" condition.
I hope this explains why I asked you to verify that you are accurately representing what you are selling here.
Again, we are a community that looks out for each other. I mean you no personal offense, I wish you all the best, and I thank you for your understanding.
