Offered to the purists community is my NOMOS Zurich Weltzeit for Wempe on 5th Avenue, NYC. This "world timer" (weltzeit) was made in just 100 examples, and this one is #42 which is of course the answer to life, the universe, and everything.
At 39.9mm it ranks as one of the largest watches made by Nomos, and the long chamfered lugs extend its lines on the wrist. The city disk is rotated by a pusher at 2 o’clock, which also makes the hour hand jump forward when it’s depressed. The 5th Ave disc can be adjusted by a micro-pusher at 8 o’clock, which also doubles as a 24-hour indicator for those who don’t need to know the time in another timezone.
Though you'll find the occasional Weltzeit on the secondary markets, this LE for Wempe is seldom found. If you're a NOMOS fan, here's your chance. I'm the first and only owner and bought this watch new in 2016. It has since sold out.
Condition: Very good. As this watch was carefully worn by yours truly, there are some scuff marks that appear in certain lighting on the highly polished surfaces. There is one minor fleabite above the 12:02 mark that is hard to see except at certain angles. I've tried my best to capture any flaws from various angles in the pictures. The original strap and buckle are Brand New and never worn (not even broken in), as I wore the watch on a custom strap (not included).
Included: Watch (VG), original shell cordovan strap (New), original buckle (New), wooden box, papers (as pictured).
Watch and I Location: Montreal, Canada
I will accept wires in USD or CAD.
