Some (partially) good news?
I wanted to update the forum with some developments in this case.
After the theft of this watch in September 2017, I notified Chopard and they promised that they would keep an eye out for the watch.
On Monday, I received a call from Mr. M at Chopard. They found my watch! It was listed at an auction site in...Beijing!
Apparently, the Chopard boutique there was looking at some items at a publicized auction and realized that one of the watches that was being sold was my watch. It was fairly easy to identify, as a piece unique, and since Monday, I’ve been in a whirlwind with the London Met and Chopard in an attempt to stop the listing and recover the watch.
In any case, I remain pessimistic that I will get it any time soon, but I am grateful to see that it has been taken care of since it was taken. I was truly thinking that the guy who took it would just wear it around and throw it away.
In any case, should we get reunited, I’ll let you know. The listing is below.

It's not an easy watch to hide
sneakattack, Deep sympathies! However, there are not many platinum L.U.C 150 and as it is a piece unique, it will be difficult to service or hide. Did you inform Chopard After Sales department? Regards, MTF
