THe Chrono One is definitely a robust watch, and sporty for the L.U.C line. You're in good company with your admiration for it -- I had a chance encounter with Karl-Friedrich Scheufele just a couple of weeks ago and he was wearing one.
I can't speak to the water resistance. We'll have to see if an owner chimes in.
Have you also considered a Mille Miglia? I am pretty sure many are 100m water resistant.
